Breathwork Journeys with Dr. Smith
As long as we have existed , there has been the need to understand that which is greater than us and why we are here. Across our earliest civilizations we used music and the breath as tools to help us commune with the dead, heal, reach higher states of consciousness, and connect with the divine. In our modern society which is largely devoid of opportunities to explore, grow, and evolve spiritually we must create those experiences for ourselves.
A Breathwork Journey is a powerful process. Think of it as a form of spiritual technology that combines ancient rhythms with a structured form of breathing. We can use Breathwork to flood our bodies with energy and oxygen, raise our vibrational levels, and enter into a higher transcendental state of being. In this state we can begin to heal and safely explore both our inner worlds and that which lies beyond the typical constraints of reality.
This type of Breathwork can be performed alone as part of one’s personal practice, but live Breathwork events are often more impactful. As each individual raises their vibrational level, the energy of the group as a whole rises. As the energy of the group builds, each individual is in turn elevated in a virtuous cycle of breath. Each Breathwork Journey is a unique experience.

Tai Chi with Phillip Timper
I am a Tai Chi practitioner of the 108 Wu Style slow form. I have practiced Wu Style Tai Chi for about 19 years and have incorporated various Qi Gong sets for warm-ups, healing, and Chi flow.
I learned Wu Style 108 from Master Aaron Kravetz. He traced his Master, Wen Xu, back four more generations of Wu Masters to the mid-1800s. I have seen early footage of Wu Tai Sin (1933-2005) doing the form in the same manner as we will study together.
Do not refer to me as Master; I am not one. However, my master gave me permission to teach in 2011; he gave me his blessing and encouragement to do so.
On footwear and clothing for practicing Tai Chi:
No, do not wear gym shoes or any shoes with heels. Your feet must be flat on the floor to attain the proper Tai Chi stance. If nothing else, bring some thick socks to wear for class until you can purchase a pair of cotton sole Tai Chi shoes*. Please wear loose-fitting sweat pants or the equivalent and a loose-fitting top. You will need freedom of movement and no binding constraints from clothing.
(I wear a 91/2, so I take a 43 size Tai Chi shoe. Be careful with sizes.)
