Reiki Workshops with Dr. Smith
There are as many different ways to teach and learn Reiki as there are Reiki Masters in the world. Each teacher brings their own experience and view of the universe. At the same time, each group of students brings their own energy, understanding, and expectations to the table. Therefore, no two lessons are ever quite the same.
Dr. Smith began his career working in the scientific arena and later transitioned into alternative healthcare. He is adept at discussing concepts from both Eastern and Western perspectives. This helps when introducing students to new and foreign concepts. If you choose Dr. Smith as your Reiki Instructor, prepare to have your mind blown. He will help you gain a deep understanding of energy work based on physics, history and practical application. You will practice, feel, discuss and discover your innate ability to work with energy.
You will laugh while being intrigued and may even cry as energy works its way through their body. Delight in discovering a new perspective on your body and the world. Ultimately, you will leave having learned a meaningful tool to use for yourself and if you choose others. Reiki is classically taught in 3-4 modules based on the teacher’s discretion. Dr. Smith chooses to break his teachings into 3 sections. The first two can be taken in tandem, especially if the student is traveling from afar to learn. However, individual practice and personal development are recommended before proceeding further.
Reiki Level 1 - $300
In Reiki 1 you will learn how to talk about Reiki which can be difficult. You will learn the history of Reiki, and as a group we will explore your “energetic anatomy.” We will do several group activities to help you see and feel the energy in and around you.
We will do several meditations with the aid of crystal singing bowls to help raise our vibrational levels. You will learn hand positions for self-care and have several opportunities to practice. We will discuss the ethics around energy healing, and you will receive your first attunement. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of completion.
Reiki Level 2 - $300 ($200 if taken on the same day as Reiki Level 1)
In Reiki 2 you will learn about power symbols and how to use them. You will deepen your understanding of the Chakras through hands-on activities. You will learn how to channel Reiki energy for others, how to provide energy at a distance, and you will receive your second attunement. There will be ample opportunity to practice both giving and receiving Reiki. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of completion.
Reiki Level 3/Reiki Master Training - $1,100 (Includes the cost of attending Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 on same weekend)
For most students, Reiki 1 and 2 are all of the knowledge needed for practice. In Reiki 3 you are attuned to the level of Reiki Master. You will learn how to give attunements and how to approach teaching Reiki to others. For those who are seeking to become Reiki Masters, it is required that they audit or repeat the earlier Reiki classes to help solidify their knowledge and grasp of the material. Also, it is recommended that they actively practice Reiki for at least 6 months before continuing to this level.
